Famed Radio And Television Personality Marks Full-Time Return To Radio
Fresh off the season two conclusion of the hit non-scripted cable television show, Breaking
Bonaduce, Danny Bonaduce will join THE ADAM CAROLLA SHOW as a featured member of the morning drive program (6-10:00AM, PT) beginning on Tuesday, January 2, 2007. Broadcast live out of the show’s flagship station, KLSX-FM in Los Angeles, THE ADAM CAROLLA SHOW is carried on six CBS RADIO stations on the West Coast, and syndicated to a host of additional stations. The four-hour program also features Teresa Strasser in the studio.
“If you asked me why I wanted to join Adam’s show, my first reaction would be to say poverty,” said Bonaduce, “followed quickly by the fact that I’m a big fan and have a lot of respect for his work. There’s nothing quite like doing live radio especially with a veteran like Adam. Having done his show in the past I know that there is something unique about what we bring to the table. I’m thrilled to be included and look forward to being back on the air full time.”

Bonaduce has spent a lifetime in show business. His radio career began in Philadelphia and brought him to Chicago, Detroit, New York and Los Angeles, where he was among the most listened to personalities in the market. Bonaduce starred in the series The Partridge Family for a better part of the 1970s, and his other television credits include Eight is Enough, That 70’s Show, Sabrina, The Teenage Witch, The Drew Carey Show, The Other Half talk show as well as several Partridge Family reunion and dedication programs.

we all love Danny…ok, well maybe I shouldn’t have started off with a lie, but let’s get right to the truth. Dave Dameshek was an “everyman” and that made him great. He was funny enough to offset the great Adam Carolla, but not funny enough to outshine anybody. He was normal and jovial and made us all feel good. And that annoying laugh, well it just brightened my day every time I heard it. I know this probably means nothing now, but we really need Dave back. Adam, you always talk about taking things back for the people, and why nobody seems to listen when everyone says one thing and “the man” decides to do something else. Well this is one of those times. We need you to take this one back. Bring back Dave, for all of us.

O.k., so Dave wasn’t a high-profile sidekick, but Danny’s NOBODY’s sidekick, and in my not-so-humble opinion after about six minutes of Danny’s continual verbal vomit about his drinking, drug use, ass-kicking and womanizing we’ll have heard all he has to say. I can’t see how this move is going to be an improvement. Adam can talk for hours and not say the same thing twice. Danny hasn’t said anything different in eighteen years. It’s been nice, man. At least we have the memories…

You guys successfully teamed Adam up with one of the regular guests that makes me change the channel. Danny Bonaduce’s schtick is lame. Do you really think anyone under 30 thinks Danny Bonaduce is funny? I can’t wait to hear Danny drop in a 15 minute story about how he used to be constantly drunk during the middle of an Adam rant. That’s going to be great.
I just hope Bryan has the “Price is Right” and “Boo” sound effects on standby…he’s going to need ‘em.
I love “THE DAN”. Thank God he is back on radio. When he was no longer with Jamie – radio sucked and after listening after he left, I could not stomach STAR any more. The guy that was with Adam before sounded just like him and I could never decifer who was talking. Love Adam. Loved the Best Dam Sport Show. But Danny will bring to the show some great commentary. He does great radio and has a great voice. KUDOS to KLSX for bringing back to regular radio someone to listen too. Way to go Danny!
after being a loyal AC loveline listener since 1995, and enjoying the ACS for the first year, i’m certain this is where we will part ways. danny bonaduce has the most unlistenable voice and content. I have never been able to listen to DBs cohosts with dr. drew and the current prospect of DB as the ACS cohost is sickening. long live dave damesheck. jack silver or whoever did this is the real creep of the year.

Well, I’m just glad I downloaded the podcasts throughout this year. I’m sure I will find those a lot more entertaining than the “new and improved” show. So why are they forcing Adam out by adding Bonaduce? I guess it’s back to Mark and Brian.

You’ll easily be able to hear bonaduce’s blowhard gravelly voice over the Adam Carolla rants that his fans have been loyally listening to for the past ten years. Even it does boost the ratings, it betrays fans of the show. If they don’t, they’ll probably cancel the show and fans still suffer. Thanks alot CBS. Wow. DB is horrible. Obviously a last-ditch effort for ratings. I’m done with Dave out, but everyone else stops listening soon as well. Sorry ACS didn’t work out, it was a great show while it lasted. I give it about 6-8 months now.
Is this a joke? DB is going to constantly intterupt Adam. Dave has the quick wit, writing skills and comedic timing that can’t be beat. DB posesses none of these qualities. This is unbelieveable and I hope there is some type of explanation for this. Granted I loved the quick witted Danny charecter on the Partrdige Family, but that was a charecter and unless Dave Madden (Reuben) is available for some skits, forget it, I’m done listening. Hes like a fruit flavored beer, one is enough, too much induces vomiting.
Face it, if we want Adam’s show to stay on the air, changes would have to be made in order to get better ratings. If no changes were made, we would have lost Dave anyway because the show would have been cancelled (eventually). Dave is an entertaining guy and should find a gig without much effort. Change is never easy, as Adam says, “we all seek what is familiar”. Give Danny a chance, it should be an interesting experiment.
Dave I agree that ratings unfortuneately rule the roost, but I would hope listeners are smart enough to know the difference between “seeking something familiar” and seeking intelligent humor.
It sounds like the ‘bosses’ are putting Adam on the ropes. Gut feeleing tells me that someone is trying to take Adam off the radio and replace him with DB…WHAT THE F IS GOING ON HERE!!!!

I too have been following the ace-man for over 10 years. It started it loveline, and I have listened to every single episode of the Adam Carolla show. My wife listens, my best friends listens, many of my co-workers (21-56yrs) listen.

Say goodbye to any clever comedic interplay and improv. He’ll blowhard until Adam quits. He doesn’t have the restraint to sit back and offer whimsical comedic blurbs. Jack Silver is a prime example that just because you are in the position to make the decisions, you can still be completely clueless and out of touch.

This is horrible news, I’ve been an Adam fan for years and this is truly dis-heartning. Bonadouche is really going to change the dynamic of the show, frankly I am surprised by this move (I am assuming this wasn’t Adam’s decsion… whoever did this I say good day!).

Danny Bonaduce is too strong of a personality to coexist with Adam. Assumiing that Bonaduce will be able to show up every day for more than a month–and that is a BIG assumption–the show can’t handle two blowhards competing for air time. I can’t see Bonaduce letting Adam run the show. And another thing that no one has mentioned–Bonaduce will chase Teresa out of the studio within 2 weeks. After all the crap between Strasser and the various players (whether real or made-up), she’s finally being treated as a quasi-equal instead of a talking vagina. I can’t see Bonaduce treating her with kid gloves; only a Jamie White–a stupid,vulgar bitch–was able to stand up to Bonaduce’s massive ego. For me, the strength of Carolla’s show is the celebrity interview segments, and I don’t see Bonaduce adding anything to that part of the show either.
Don’t forget that Jimmy Kimmel has been the guy shaping the show all along, and he hasn’t been too keen about Damashek’s contribution. Faced with weak ratings, I think Kimmel had to give in to the so-called radio pros like PD Silver and the CBS brass and bring in a known commodity like Bonaduce. Of course, they thought David Lee Roth was going to be a big hit too…

Gotta tell you kiddies, Dave did nothing for me. While he may be a decent writer, I cringed nearly everytime he opened his mouth. I liked the fact that they’ve been de-emphasizing him over the last few months.
Is Danny the answer? Depends on whether he can hang with Adam. I’m willing to give him a try. Given my first choice, I’d leave it at Adam and Strasser only. She’s smart, funny and appears to be crazy as hell. But I’m guessing Adam requires a dude to bounce things off of.
I agree Danny unleashed is a bit much, but let’s give it a whirl.
I’m thrilled that Bruska and Tad are gone – way too much airtime was wasted on those two nonentities.

I can’t believe all these idiots writing about Dave. I love Adam, believe me, but his side kicks were horrible. Funny? NO. I couldn’t stand listening to the show. It lacked humor. All of the jokes were 5th grade humor. Ass kiss rodeo? The bitch bag? Did the producers really think that’s what people tuned in for? Almost all people who listen to talk radio wants 3 things: to be entertained, current events, and some trivial nonsense. All Adam’s side-kicks did was trivial.
Danny is a good sparing partner. FYI fans of the show: the show tanked, it went from Howard who was 6th in the LA market to 16th with the ACS. What does that say to you? No one cares about Big Tad and the other no-talent side-kicks.

To the geniouses who thought of hiring DB…if he was such a ratings boost, how come he has bounced around from show to show? (reality TV ratings does not equal radio ratings) It’s like in pro sports, idiot owners fire a manager/coach only to bring in some other guy who has failed in other places..just because it is a familiar name.
Whatever happened to giving a show time to develop and build an audience. Do they think Howard Stern just became Howard Stern overnight? Like most people I have talked to, I was really starting to like the show, and Dave was a big part of it. This DB thing smells of desperation and it will probably send me to Sirius.

I give the arrival of Bonaduce a week at best. I personally have zero interest in listening to this has-been. He offers no comedic ability or any show value. He is going to try too hard to be somebody and Adam and he will end up tripping over each other. What happened to Dave anyway? The re-enactments and his own personal style were great additions to the show but the true talent on the show needs to have his own individual stage for this to work. This is very unfortunate news.
I have been a steady listener in San Francisco and had really come to enjoy the easy banter among all the cast and crew – Dave included! Nothing felt forced, and there seemed to be a genuine affection on the part of Adam for everyone. He reminded me of the big brother who beats on his little brothers (much to our amusement)… but God help anyone else if they try to do the same!
So these changes must be killing him.
But ratings are ratings, and Adam can’t do anything about the realities of the business. The analogy is a restaurant that has a loyal customer base that loves the menu, but is simply too small to make the business profitable. And when the restaurant owner finally realizes that he has no choice but to replace some of the cooks and change the menu, the loyal customers howl in protest. But what else can the owner do? He’s going to go out of business if he does nothing, and this might (might) give him a shot at making it. It is a business, not a soup kitchen!
If you guys want not-for-profit radio, turn on NPR (I don’t recommend it). Otherwise, accept that this is the way it is. I don’t like it either. But I know what I will like even less… Adam Carolla being off the air. So give it a chance. I know I am going to. And if it sucks, I’ll stop listening. But not until then!

Dr. Drew was the opposite of ace, almost never laughed at his rants, interrupted him, tried to counter his points – all that pissed him off and made him rant even MORE!
who’s contradicting him now? NOBODY!!! somebody has to start interrupting adam and atleast trying to contradict his views somehow or it will keep being 1/4 interesting as the good ol’ loveline days. I really like the angry rants and verbal visualization more than anything else.

I just heard today about Dave being canned and was disappointed. I have been listening to the show since day 2 (had to take the day off to catch Stern’s first day on Sirius) and it has grown. The cast has got tighter over the year and the fewer breaks has helped enormously. And Adam has always been the top dog. Dave brought alot of humor to the show and had a good relationship with Adam. DB has been a very interesting guest on several shows. But he’s interesting because he is dysfunctional. He isn’t a humorist. I can’t see him fitting in. I hope I’m wrong because I can’t get Stern in my building and they won’t let me stream.

Wow. I can’t believe how much I have enjoyed the show this past year. It took a little while to find its groove, but I think it’s the best morning show I’ve ever listened to. I am very disappointed that Dave will no longer be a part. The dynamic between Ace, Dave and Teresa will be sorely missed.
Nothing against DB, but his prescence will absolutely change the show that a lot of us have come to love. I don’t think I’m on board for this. Danny doesn’t know when to shut his mouth and I don’t see him playing second fiddle to anyone. From a loyal listener, this seems like a big mistake.

Dave Teresa and Adam had good chemistry and it’s sad…. I really liked the show…
Adam, Adam, Adam – what have you let them do to your show??? Dave, IMO, was a real rock star sidekick. The worst part of his leaving is that it really sounded on air like you two were/are just two good friends. You guys were really funny together because you know each other so well. Clearly there’s history there. Just the other day, without any context at all Adam dropped a “Machu Pichu” into conversation in perfect Pittsburgh-ese – and the joke never needed to be explained. Priceless.
I don’t think you are spending much time on the message boards over the holidays, but hopefully you are getting the upshot that this move is not well received. If I were Dave I would move on to the next big thing – clearly he’s got the talent. I thought with the addition of Teresa you had finally found the right mix, and everything was really starting to click. I guess I’ll have to wait and see on Danny. I just heard him on best of this morning, and he’s not a bad guest – let’s see how he can play in the number 2 chair.
I’m a old-school HS fan, and I did follow him to satellite. But, like many of us, that’s just in the car. You are still the man in the house and in the headphones. The ACS is a great show, just give it time, and don’t make any stupid moves trying to catch fire. It will happen. I hear Sirius doesn’t have the cash to last as long as Howard’s contract, unless they can grow their base a lot faster than they are today. So – fight smart and don’t go for the KO with DB.
With as many fans that took the time to voice their opinion on this board in the course of 10 days, it has to be obvious that the show was a hit. Didn’t it beat Stern @ #1 in Vegas quicker than Stern got there? Oh yeah, he was just riding his coat tails, I forgot.
This show found its identity quickly. Who are the decision makers trying to appeal to? The fans seem happy, so why rock the boat? You do the “radio math” but it seems to me that there are a lot more people out there that really liked Dave than did not. Based on this board alone, X the 100,000 people that like Dave but don’t have a PC handy to voice their opinion.

I heard the news and got excited because I think Danny will breathe some fire into the show. Will it last long? Not likely? Will it end with a bang? God, I hope so. Sorry to hear Dave is being let go. He was mildly amusing, but his Jerk Report could be lame on weeks he couldn’t find real jerks. I’d still like to see him play a bit part on the show. I can’t wait to hear how Danny and Teresa get along…hee hee
A TRIBUTE TO DAVE
In 1988, I was a freshman at Indiana University. I recall being very nervous about meeting new friends from different parts of the country. During my first week, while assemblying my sweet Soundesign stereo with dual cassette decks in my dorm room, I heard a laugh through the adjacent wall. I thought: “Burgess Meredith’s penguin?” I casually walked into the hallway and past my new neighbor’s open door. There I saw a 18 year-old boy with a 5 o’ clock shadow who I would come to know as W. David Dameshek. He was standing in front of a full lenght mirror, watching himself swing an invisible golf club. Though our introductions were awkward, we became pretty good friends. And I shared quite a few adventures with the Pittsburgh native who had a penchant for buck shoes.
The notable memories include:
1.) Dave and I smuggling ice cream from the cafeteria and dropping it off the dorm roof onto unsuspecting students entering the building.
2.) Dave asking my roommate (a 23 year-old black gang member and self-proclaimed U.S. spy) who wore a necklace with the Mercedes Benz symbol whether the car company sponsors his gang.
3.) My 23 year-old black, gang member, U.S. spy, freshman roommate attacking Dave with a deer hunting knife after Dave asks him whether Mercedes Benz sponsors his gang.
4.) Dave taking me to an off-campus party where he decides to light several cups of beer on fire. I’m blamed for the incident and thrown out of the party.
5.) Dave taking me to a Pittsburgh Penguins game in his storied hometown. The Penguins lose and Dave tells me that I am forbidden from attending any more games.
6.) During that same trip, Dave, after receiving spending money from his mother, inexplicably insisting on purchasing a belt for me at a local mall.
7.) During finals week, Dave and I convincing our resident assistant (a muscle-bound 24 year-old black man and former Mr. Indiana) to allow us to hide in his dorm room closet and watch him seduce white Indiana farm girls on his waterbed. (By the way, I never quite figured out how that guy got a water bed in there.)
In March of 2006, while driving from Los Angeles to San Diego, I heard the same laugh I heard almost 20 years earlier. Only this time, it was coming from my radio. Little did I know that Dave’s immaturity would lead to a career in…well immaturity. I’m sad he won’t be on the show anymore, but he ’s done pretty well considering he graduated from journalism school without knowing how to type.
So here’s to wishing him all the best in the future.

Bonaduce blows chunks and should be drop kicked by Chuck Norris into obscurity. Dave was THE BEST. And this whole decision sucks, probably much like TACS management’s mothers.
But guess what everybody… while we are all upset about it and maybe won’t listen anymore, they will all just cry themselves to sleep on their giant money pillows. Boo hoo. I guess it’s back to CDs in the morning.

This is really horrible news IMHO. I love the show, especially since the addition of Teresa. Her staying is the only good news. Just caught a re-run of DB on Glenn Beck show…snooze city!!! He’s so boring and self-centered.
AC is funny and smart and I loved listening to the banter on the show. It’s why I loved Howard back in the day, and I loved AC’s show even better because the humor was not so vulgar as Howard could get. But Danny B????? Really, what are you guys thinking???

I used to listen to Kevin and Bean on 106.7 but I stopped because I fell in love with ACS. dave damashek’s voice was integral to the show and so was his humor. danny is the paris hilton of radio: just famous for being famous. his tv appearances focus on his ability to be a jerk… please please bring Dave Damashek back, bring back number one sports.

I’ve been listening to Danny since he was on mid-days in Chicago. I never listened to Star or that self obsessed train wreck Jamie, until Danny joined the show. I listen to the triplets mid-day and Leykus in the afternoon, now I have a reason to listen in the am too. Glad to have you back on the air Danny!
I honestly wonder if this is a gag. It really is like a slap in the face to fans of ACS. The tempo will change for sure. I guess it’s going to be more of a ‘west coast’ show. Is there really that much contempt for East Coast Jews in L.A.? Christ – Bruska and Dave have children to worry about – I hope Jack Hole is looking out for `em.
Anyway, I might make it past the first few hours to find out what Adam thinks of this. I’m sure he’s doing the whole ‘company man’ thing, “I’m looking forward to working with Danny Cokehead…”, or “Sure I’ll miss Dave and his Jerk Report…”. Now would be the time to thump the PD a few hundred times about this really crappy move.

Very sad to see Dave go. The show did need some fine tuning. I hate the loud “definitely not a jew” intros. But I LOVED Dave’s songs, the jerk report, his hilarious lists, and the fish tank. He was the perfect Adam sidekick. You can hear the chemistry.
I did hate the sports. I hated the Pittsburgh stuff at first, but then when Adam would play dumb and ask Dave if Dave was a Steeler’s fan – that was really quality stuff.
Teresa is great. Tad and Brusca I don’t really care about, except that they were good ammunition for fights and teasing. Could we at least hear from Dave now and again? Can we keep the bitch bag? Can you order Danny to respect Adam’s primary role?
I guess Danny had a big radio following in the past. I like him a little, but I’m not interested in even one more self-told story about him. He’s a sad pathetic figure poisened by an undeserved ego and testosterone. I feel sorry for him, and I don’t need 4 hours of depression added to my day.
Perhaps he will provide the ratings boost the suits need to justify the show. I’ll just listen to my old ipod Loveline and ACS shows instead.

A real shame. I listen to all of Adam’s shows via podcast, and I can tell you that Danny is an unwelcomed addition. I hope Danny gets back on the bottle and kills himself and his wretched family.
I don’t really have anything new to add regarding this atrocity, so I’m just posting this reply to add one more voice to the rising chorus of discontent. Maybe if enough of us do this we can force the “suits in New York” to take heed and give the people what they want.

Dave complimented Adam well and was one of the better parts of the show (unlike the tired Oswaldo bits or the hyper DAG). His cleverness and humor will be missed by me.
Bonaduche is a spasm, honest in ways and open but also an out-of-control performer who will likely bring an energy to the show which will “zoo it up” and ruin it (maybe make it even worse than Mancow).
Our only hope may be for Adam to put him in his place and confront him verbally and physically for in my estimation the Genius and the Boxer can truly tame and take the one trick train-wreck. (Maybe Bonduche should try a new angle and not be so showy).
Let’s say this was any other business – from a managerial standpoint, who the hell would hire this guy? His resume is nothing but failed radio shows attached to a long list of employers and managers he’s threatened and bullied.
I am really worried. He is GOING TO ruin the show – then what? Do the suits bring Dave back – or do they cancel the show and replace with O & A.

Well…I listened against my better judgment….and am dissapointed. DB is fun to watch on television, people always stop for car crashes and train wrecks…and that is what this is….you took a good fun light hearted show and messed it up. You now have a washed up junkie who claims to be a born again next to a man who uses “God damn” every three seconds…how long do you really think those two people will last next to each other?
No more jerk list…and no more making fun of Bruska…..what the fuck is Jack Silver and the rest of these guys at the top thinking?
Last piece of advice…know your audience before the shows ratings drop further. Marketing the original show would have been a hell of a lot cheaper than enabling a “recovering” drug addict by giving him a no doubt large pay check.
I listened and kept tuning out, its boring, ….no smart humor no comedic interplay, no improv…what a disappointment. Inane babble. Weeks and months of fine tuning this won’t give DB the skills Dave had. To quote Keith Richards, “You can’t polish a turd. “

Damashek sucked. Hopefully now we’re done with all the lame sports references. Bonadouche is a freak show, and will surely be a great target for Adam. The fact that he’s such a knucklehead is kind of endearing, even though he needs a lozenge.
Whomever’s brainless decision this is clearly doesn’t know how to program radio to get listeners. There are so MANY other things that could have been done to improve the show — which was just starting to gel, by the way. Retiring some tired bits, changing the overly long set-ups, pruning back some cast members that weren’t strong contributors – all would have helped the ratings. As Adam says, I won’t be living in the past, yearning for what was, but I am looking ahead to what’s sure to be a new show that won’t work together and sucks. What made Howard’s show popular was his ability to be Howard. What will make Adam great is people who help him to be Adam and then get out of his way. Dave was one of those people. Danny is NOT.
I phoned, but was too late to get my quesiton on the air – I had a topic for the ‘What can’t Adam complain about?’ segment.

Then, I’m saying that the thing that bothers me about Bonaduce is, he’s not interesting … and now he’s on my show. He has nothing to say, except he’s lived a rough life and has done a lot of drugs, and has excess amounts of testosterone running through his veins. You know what I can complain about Bonaduce? I think he’s trying to compensate for the sweet, chubby little character he’s best know for – Danny Partridge – by proving to the world that he’s a bad-ass. What else do I not like about Danny Bonaduce? He interrupts me every time I open my mouth. That’s ok if I’m performing oral on him, but I’m not doing that from the hours of 6 to 10 am, and it’s MY show. Oh, I’ve got a LOT to complain about when it comes to Danny Bonaduce.”

I tuned in, w/o hearing the news about Damashek, I had an uneasy feeling in my stomach when I started hearing Bonadouche, and the feeling in my stomach only worsened when I actually heard the annoucement about Dave. I WAS a big fan of the show, now nolonger. Mahalo!
To paraphrase Darth Vader… Nooo! Damashek was Adam’s foil and was smart funny and endearing. DB is too much like Adam but is a professional f-up – good news is – he won’t last long for that reason. Bad chemistry – bad decision.

I ask myself what type of radio show Jamie and Danny in the morning would have been, if Jamie Actually had something intelligent and non-selfserving to contribute to the STAR morning show.
Seems like DB was the company he kept, his words and actions Reactions to his environment, and his game played by the rules made for him.
Based on the company he will now be keeping between 6 and 10am, we should see him get to play the game at his level, finally. Danny, GAME ON!
I used to listen to Danny in Chicago, then in LA with Jamie and Danny.
Even my Mother used to like Danny. Danny IS wild, he IS nuts, he IS full of intense energy… He’s also probably the most thoughtful and honestly intelligent and ‘aware’ people I have ever paid attention to on the radio.
Even on Bill Maher’s show (Politically Incorrect) he would stand up to the brightest of people. I have been fortunate to have witness him bantering with people of supposedly expert knowledge, and his real talent of being able to see through overly Politically Correct b*ll****, comes through for me every time.
I like Danny, and I love his honesty. Without the booze and drugs he is great to listen to. He is very polarizing, some will learn to love him and see through his overtly tough and boisterous radio presence, and some will hate his guts regardless. Either way he’s entertaining and extremely quick witted.
To Danny… If you can keep clean, I’ll continue to be your fan.

I will keep listening, but that is only because everything elso on the radio really sucks! The show was great before. Dave’s wisecracks and skits were a wonderful addition to Adam and Teresa’s talents. The AC show may still become a hit, but why would you want to do it with a loudmouth contrarian like Bonaduce?
I have been Danny’s stalker for 14 years and I really love the guy. I love the fun part of him and he has a nice body. I sleep with him evey night as I put on my Danny Bonaduce stalker t-shirt and I kiss him good night. I have a Danny Bonaduce lunch box and a pillow case that I made my self. I light the candle next to my bed at night so that Danny’s picture will glow brightly all night long. I even spray the rose next to his picture so that he smell good too. I love Danny Bonaduce and he can tell you it true. CG
Ilistened to the new ACS this morning and I wasn’t completely disappointed. D-Bo seems like he is aware of is role on the squad and we can only wait to see what will happen. So, Dave will be missed, we do not know what the future of the show will bring. But it does seem pretty familiar to another show’s cast (FHF).
I was upset when Stern decided to go to sat. radio but then the ACS hit Portland and he has made me forget about Howard, I never thought that would happen, I loved Dave’s humor and his sports knowledge. Danny sucked today and you can tell that Corolla is feeling like he is going to be interupted, the show is not the same and it is not going to get better with DB getting more comfortable. Anyone know what DD is up to?

I listened every morning on my way into work. I enjoyed the Jerk Report and Number 1 sports and Dave’s reserved yet witty banter. Of course Adam’s insights are always interesting. Nonetheless, what I’m hearing these last 2 days is not as witty and as funny as it was before the Holidays. Talk about starting the year off on a low n note.
Dude, I thought I didn’t like Damashrek. He was annoying, he talked like Adam, he was a wuss, but I guess that is what I liked about him. He didn’t have any ego what so ever, and he knew he wasn’t that funny. But Bonadueche is the worst thing I ever heard. I can hear where every single one of his jokes is going before he even completes them. He thinks he’s hilarious. I got no respect for him, he is also too dumb for the show. I’m sure Adam and Teresa roll their eyes at each other when the guy goes off script and tries comedy on his own. Bad choice management, good TV ratings, doesn’t equal good radio ratings. Sirius here I come.
THe Carrola Show was a great replacement for Stern. I thought I’d instantly jump on Sirius, but I gave it a week and loved the ACS. Now I’m thinking maybe this is a new year, and fresh start, maybe I’ll go to satellite. Sirius is a pain to move around, but I need my morning talk fix. Thanks for the ranks.

Wow. As a Howard Stern listener trying to find a good replacement I gave Corolla’s show a try. I found him and his team funny, smart, and different. In other words I loved it! It was enough to prevent me from going satellite. That all changed this morning when after 5 minutes I heard Bonaduce refer to himself being drunk/high while giving a speech to kids about staying sober. Every time this guy gets air time he always refers to the same thing. It’s not only boring but a little depressing.

I returned from my holiday vacation to tune in and hear the most horrible sound on my radio…Danny Bonaduce! I thought it was just an interview…but it never ended. And then I realized this was permanent…gross. Sorry Adam, you just lost yet another listener.

It seems that Dave D was a somewhat popular colorman for the show, but he had to go. Adam, Teresa, and Dave all had the same cadence and jokes. (Honestly, I think Teresa probably just assimilated into the tone. Kind of like when I hang with my Southern friends and start to put a little draw on words) Adam could’ve had two sock puppets on his hands and nobody would have known. So the three headed dragon had to be slain. Unfortunetly, Dave was on the receiving end of the first blow. Danny Bonaduce….. he’s crazy as hell and might be a bit extreme, but what the hell. At least he brings some personality to the table. Maybe we can get a couple of on-air roid rages out of him? Only time will tell

What the hell!? Just got back from vacation and had to listen to the re-tooled show…for about 5 minutes before I turned it off. My commute is now that much longer now that I refuse to listen to ACS after the half-assed BS I heard today. Bonaduce it a complete 180 from the type of personality on the show that made me a loyal listener to begin with. I guess all that’s left to do is switch to satellite radio.
Good move. Dave Dameshek was the most annoying person I have ever heard on radio. His “jerk report” was never funny, it was unoriginal and frankly the average third grader could produce more entertaining material. I hated his wussy mama’s boy talk about “Mo Dameshek” and the city of Pittsburgh all the time. It was alienating because nobody in CA cares about his mom or the city of Pittsburgh for that matter. When you go to a ballgame to root for your favorite team and you get stuck having to sit next to a geeky fan of the other team who thinks he’s funny, Dave Dameshek was that annoying fan. Every time he opened his mouth I cringed and wanted him to shut up. Danny B on the otherhand, colorful, edgy, great move.

Based on all the comments, I would say that Adam Sandler might have a new line for song staing Danny, definitely not a Jew. Although I give the ACS higher mark than STAR of KLOS, the show is in need of something that wasn’t happening with Dave. Although I liked Dave and his additon to the show, I think management did the right thing becasue I couldn’t stay tuned into the old format for very long.
I think the ACS is doing a terrible mistake with this new change. Shek brought funny to the show ( YES, FUNNY). I am sure Dave will be fine with REAL friends like Jimmy Kimmel. But Adam you should be ashame.

I loved the original format of the show, and dropped Mark & Brian about 4 months back. I loved Dave D, and the whole gang’s interactions.
I don’t think there’s room on the show for 2 bigmouth blowhards like Adam AND Danny B. It gets really tedious for me. Plus, Danny has nothing new to add, just the same old boring stories.
Plus it sounds like Danny B. and Adam don’t know each other that well or how to really jam together, it’s like two strangers doing their own solos.
Bring back the old crew and stop messing with it. I would follow it. This format is kinda abrasive and tedious.
I love Adam! I’m a fairly new listener (took me awhile to find him online) so I have not developed strong likes/dislikes to the rest of the crew but….I have to say – I agree with many above that listening to the ‘train wreck’ angle repeatedly is already getting old since we have been inundated with it on TV.
I also think DB is just aggressive enough to eventually start overriding Adam but – I think Adam knows what works and what doesn’t work and I trust that he will make the right decision in the long run.
Hope you stay a long long time Adam!
I always changed the station when Dave and his sports report came on, and am particularly glad I will never have to hear him sing ever again.

This arrangement cannot last. Danny is clearly gunning to be the top dog, and Teresa is now pretty much invisible. Adam also sounds defeated and is ranting and complaining half-heartedly.
Why do they need three people? Look, if they aren’t going to Bring back ‘Sheck, than how about just Adam and Teresa? The magic of Loveline was that Drew was a straight man and Adam could spread his wings and work his magic unfettered. That show was a raging success, mostly because of Adam’s opinions and rants which often rarely concerned the stupid teenagers on the phone. And they never did “bits” or elaborate skits like they did with ‘Shek, not that I have anything againts them, I thought they were great.
Sure a lot of people would say that Adam needs a dude to bounce his ideas off of, but I believe Teresa would provide an interesting counterpoint.

Listening to the first yeat of ACS, I found myself surprised I liked it as much as I did. Very solid first year and showed to me good potential. Dave Dameshek was an integral part of it. I looked forward to hearing his wisecracks and Number 1 sports, and loved his self-deprecating humor.
And I loved his Pittsburgh identity. It brought a good contrast to Adam’s LA background, as well as some fun opportunities for rivalry and teasing. Everybody in LA is from somewhere else…
Officially tuning out. Maybe I’ll check out Stern on Sirius after all.
Teresa Strasser is hot and entertaining. I’ll miss fantasizing about you baby.
p.p.s. Danny Bonaduce is terrible in a really awful kind of way. Not only terrible for his lame, tired stories and cartoon-macho opinions, but also terrible because his voice. I can’t even imagine listening to him for a few minutes in an interview, much less 4 hours a day every day. If this station wants him on the air, team him up with Tom Lykes. Those two are a perfect, equally terrible, fit.
Danny Bonaduce is so awful, his awfulness overrides my willingness to tune in so I can continue to fantasize about Teresa Strasser. Think about that!

Dave may have been a good writer, but he was really annoying to listen to sometimes..as somebody pointed out earlier after a while he tried to copy Adam’s vocal inflections, and even threw in more rants to be like Adam. You must have noticed this. Problem is you can’t out rant the Ace man. Dave’s segments reminded me of high-school presentations that you threw together in the hallway five-minutes before class. While Adam can give great impromptu speeches, Dave can’t, and I was getting tired of him.
That being said, I don’t know how much I like Bonaduce on there. He and Adam definitely dont have verbal chemistry.
Bottom line: Dave needed replacing, but I don’t think Danny is the right guy.

I’ve loved Adam since his early days on KROQ in LA and have a been a steady listener of his new show in the bay area. Give Danny a chance… why not? You still have the great Adam leading the way. I think that Danny will add an element to the show that will be positive. I like Dave too, but he had little affect on the show. Granted, it will be a different kind of show… It might look more the Frosty, Heidi and Frank show… Adam, Danny and Taresa show… I’m starting to flip flop. I like having a humble, schooled radio personality with a lot more to offer to the show, on air w/ the great Adam. This might sound incoherent cuz I’m drunk. Just don’t stop listening everyone… If this show goes off and I hafta listen to top 40, I will shoot myself in Adam’s grandmother’s house. Maybe I’ll just settle for NPR.

I tried to listen to the new show with Bona-douche-bag for the past few days but can’t take it anymore. He sucks as a radio personality and as a human being. Dave D was way funnier. Way to blow a good thing!
If you are going to get rid of Dave at least make an upgrade to the show. I thought he was a good contributor to the show but if you had someone better to bring in I can understand making the change. In all reality, the show isn’t that good. Teresa is just plain boring. Her beauty queen days are long behind her and she has no radio personality or voice. Adam and Dave had moments of genius, but they were to few and far between to make this show a ratings winner. Bonaduce will become very tiresome after a few weeks and the combo of two strong personalities will not work. Can I say one thing to Danny?… Shut up already about your wife!!! I’ve listened to you for 3 days and that’s all you talk about. Be a man!!! Grow a sac!!! Oh yeah, Dave was much better than Danny.
I don’t have the time or patience to read all sixteen thousand comments on the Dave D departure, but I’ll also add my opinion in the lame hope that someone at CBS corporate actually reads this stuff. Here’s the thing about Dave D. If you listen to the show just once, I can understand if some suit wanted to have him canned. He’s less polished than the other personalities; however, after listening to the show for several days in a row, or weeks, months, etc. He just gets funnier and funnier. Damn it, I’ve still got “Dave Dameshek’s Number One Sports!” ringing in my ears, and “creep of the week!” OK, so Dave stole Adam’s speech patterns and tone (or what it the other way around?), who cares. He’s funny. It’s not that I don’t like DB, but he’s not nearly as good of fit as DD, and it’s clear that DB and Ace don’t have the same chemistry on air. This sucks. CBS, get your nose out of a spreadsheet and actually listen to the show. Big mistake. Ace-man, are you trying to get out of your contract by sabotaging your own show? Tired of waking up early? What gives? At least give your listeners the logic behind the decision.

I am in agreement with almost everyone’s comments. DB is OK, but adding him to the show just causes alot of conflict. You have two stong personalities, and having Adam go on a rant was great, but having DB go on and on is too much.

Dave was an added pleasure and I all got to love him this last year…the jerk report, the cheezy 80’s sound effects, the number one sports, all great. Added flavor to show.

It was wierd, After New Year’s I had a really bad dream that seemed to last an entire week. In this dream, Adam Carolla had canned Dave Dameshek and replaced him with someone else. It seemed like I woke up every morning and tuned into the show only to be verbally assaulted by what seemed to be a brain-damaged leprechaun.
Oh well, good thing it was only a dream. I know that tomorrow I’ll wake up and Dave will be there with his quirky and clever banter and all will be well in the world…

Let me start of by saying that I was a huge fan of the Corolla show even arguing with my friends that it was better than Stern. I don’t know who’s decision it was to bring in DB but they completely F’d up the show. The two have no chemistry and the show is now unbearable to listen too. I also find myself in a position where I lost a lot of respect for Adam as a man; he needed to fight harder to keep his friends on the show. I guarantee there is going to be a corporate head somewhere that going to lose his job for brining in Bonduchbag. You lost this listener and I am sure thousands more like me.

Wow! I thought Bonaduce was a temporary co-host. Corolla seems adrift without Dameshek. I’m a long time Corolla fan and have been pumping the morning show to all my friends but OUCH. Amazingly, Adam is not funny with Bonaduce. Bonaduce is a sometimes interesting guest on somebody else’s show. But he brings no comedy to this show, only tedious self-referential comments about his addictions and sad behavior. Dameshek was working his ass off on the show and quickly made me a fan. Guess I’ll be plugging the ipod back in for my 90 minute commute. A pity.

I don’t have too much to add to everything that’s been said. Whether or not the comments above are truly representative of your listening audience or not, at the very least the people taking time to read and add to this site care(d) about the show, and are for the most part disappointed. Even most of those comments “supportive” of the move still lack ringing endorsements of DB.
I’m sure there’s more to this story than everyone can know or appreciate, i.e., business move / ratings, etc. and that’s reality. But no one I know can stand this guys’ voice, much less the things that come out of his mouth. The fact is my buddies and I literally grew up listening to you and would have sat through anything to keep listening (even Damashek at his worst) but somehow this is too much. And those of us that think we “know” you after you took us through grade school, high school and college, can tell things aren’t the same. You’re not yourself, and people are changing the station… Good luck buddy. I can’t stand to listen but wish you the best.

Aren’t we all lamenting the looming destruction of the Adam Carolla Show? The damage has already been done and I can’t see this framework holding out much longer. Adam is truly gifted and insightful. We all enjoy his piercing analyses and brilliant observations. He needs room to work and the professional environment is integral to permitting the Aceman’s style to function. Even though Damashek was occassionally grating and Strasser is mild, the old team complemented each other and crafted that environment in which Adam could operate. I am surprised that Adam’s numbers were so poor in 2006. I’m not surprised that a bunch of corporate hacks thought that they could tinker with the formula and create something (a “train wreck” according to one press release) that would improve ratings. I think it was on the 1.2.07 show that Adam and Danny were discussing the numbers and Adam concluded that the executives only seemed to focus on the LA ratings despite the fact that the show was performing well in many other markets. Yeah, okay, LA’s the second biggest market in the nation…..so let’s really crank up the heat by canning Damashek, Brusca and others and replacing them with Danny Bonaduce. WTF?! I’m not going to get on the Bonaduce bashing bandwagon because the guy has his own schtik. He’s funny, engaging, energetic and full of himself – radio gold – but he’s not right for this show. He has been a good guest in the past and I personally enjoy him in small doses. However, his personality is too large to be relegated to sidekick status on the Adam Carolla Show. I don’t see this pairing lasting for long. They are two strong and distinctive personalities. Adam no longer has the room to operate that he needs. As soon as he launches into one of his beloved rants, Bonaduce has to interject his two-cents worth with some kind of one-upsmanship style that derails Adam’s flow. Suddenly, we’re on the Bonaduce train with Adam picking his moments to stick and jab. Plus, on a personal level, I now find that one of the things I liked most about Adam’s morning show was the mellow, monotonous tone of his voice punctuated with moments of hyperactivity. Yet, with Bonaduce’s grating, gravely projection constantly trading with Adam and the meek Strasser, I am having trouble staying focused on the nuanced delivery that Adam provides. In short, I don’t blame Adam. It shouldn’t even have to be said that Adam would not have engineered this mess; it reeks of corporate incompetence.

Danny stated above that he is “a big fan and have a lot of respect for [Adam's] work.” You know what, all of your fans have a lot of respect for your work and enjoy listening to YOU on YOUR show. Tell Danny to shut the f-up the next time he interrupts you, tries to talk over you, or remind the listeners that he is Danny Bonaduce. If you don’t want to tell Danny Hasbeen to shut the f-up, kick him off the show because he is ruining your show and my mornings. Who am I supposed to listen to, Bob and Tom?

I want to start by telling you that I have consistently downloaded your show everyday since I first discovered it in May of last year. It has regularly brightened my day and given me good cause to sit back relax and listen to a voice of reason extract the subtle nuances from life’s many complex anomalies. The key here is that YOU are the voice of reason that I want to hear. I’m not going to say that Dave was the most dynamic or engaging co-host but I will say this; He was not an ego-maniacal, self absorbed set of fingers nails running down the chalk board of the Adam Corolla show, that so severely destroys the dynamic and wisdom that previously prevailed. Dave was a great side kick who provided that small yet important ingredient that made the show so world class.
Let’s be honest, Adam, the way that man interrupts you and destroys the flow is cause for one of your very own world famous rants. What can’t Adam complain about? Maybe nothing but I know what he can and should and that is the egregious “spaz” sitting next to him in the booth every morning.
The old cast will forever be missed. I hope that someone can right the wrong that has so severely damaged the show.
Just adding my post in case that someone in corporate is looking at the volumes of responses…I too have been a Carolla fan from way back in the day, but have to admit that on this show, it was Damashek who kept me tuning in every day. As I drive my truck to work every morning, I am at a loss. I used to look forward to waking up in the morning to your show on my alarm radio. Then I tried NPR-which just lulled me back to sleep, then I tried some music stations and other talk radio which just made me angry. Now I use the BEEPING sound to wake me up….You heard me right- I prefer the beeping sound over the insecurities of your new sidekick. I don’t even turn on the radio in my truck or listen to spanish radio instead of this new show of yours….AND I AM A WHITE DUDE! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE SAYING and its more pleasing than the show sans Damashek. Damashek and Brusca fighting and the family like banter is what let your shine in your brillance….Sure Dave had to turn it down a bit at first, and sure you had to cycle through a few whores to find a news girl….but the trifecta lined up.
I keep trying to listen but I have a three rule for DB. I can only hear him mention his self-professed scandolous past three times before I scream and turn off the radio. He’s like that kid in High School who constantly tells you about his sexual exploits in Niagara Falls. Maybe its true, but if you keep having to tell me about it I wonder if it is….David Mamet said it this way: “If you are Somebody so f__king much, why do you have to tell me about it?”
The show no longer moves forward because your driving rants are constantly interupted by a man who is stuck in the past and wants to pull the focus back to when he was somebody. Somebody bad. Somebody famous. Somebody crack head. Somebody Steroid user. **see above quote about “somebody**. Its sad and depresses me to see your family broken up.
I don’t think Dave was ever sick or didn’t bring his game. He was like a brother to you. My favorite moment of your show was when you were out having twins and your man, Kimmel stepped in and covered your ass. Everbody at the show pulled it together and put out a good show without you because they knew the ratings were crucial and loved you enough to know that it was crucial that you be there for the birth of your kids. That is loyalty. That is family. That is values. That is America.

So, I found this blog as I was searching for news on why the show got rid of Dave Dameshek and just wanted to let you know that I agree with most of you. I was almost in tears a couple of weeks ago when I realized that I had forever lost my magical/ special Adam Corolla Show.
I was in the car on the way to work and Danny Bonaduce was talking about how he had voted for Bush twice. The combination of his grating voice, the lack of comedic value and Adam and Teresa saying “Uh huh, yeah” made me almost throw up into my mouth a little.
I STILL LOVE TERESA, ADAM, and DAVE!!! but regret to say I can not listen anymore.

I agree with the general sentiment above… sorry DB, but I can’t stand you on the show.
All of the show’s chemistry is now gone. Dave really was a great third opinion that offset Teresa and Adam. I loved his song parodies, his sport reports, the back and forth between Dave and Adam on baseball, the little improves they would do to reenact a story… all priceless.
Bonaduce has none of that. His voice is annoying, as noted before he is a super blowhard, has an really weird life story — that I don’t give a rats about, but have to listen about over and over again, and is so off in left field with his comments that he really needs his own show catering to a very different audience.
Adam, please bring Dave back. Dave please go back

When Howard went to Sirus radio my morning drive sucked once again. I was left with a pathetic morning show full of clowns on my local station and without any remotely interesting alternatives. The best I could do was NPR :-/.
When… one day… I saw a poster for the ACS… tuning in I was impressed, the Ace man was funny I’ve always liked his other stuff. Teresa sounded hot and Dave D was super witty… full of great jokes and excellent one-off: songs, sports, jerk report… shit he was even a Star Wars fan. In the simplest of terms you guys made a stellar team — very hard to find on Radio.
No with DB it is totally ruined… I cannot even listen to you guys… the chemistry is so messed up and the humor seems to have been all but vacuumed out of the show.
I’m thoroughly depressed… if there is anything that you can do to bring Dave back please do.

You know when you accidentally set off the burglar alarm and quickly try to push the button to make it stop? That’s what it’s like now when I accidentally switch to the ACS when Bonaduce opens his mouth. It’s total anguish. I’m surprised he’s still on. How did he last longer than 2 weeks. I check the station every few days, hoping that DB’s been fired. But as soon as he interrupts Adam or Terresa I have to switch the station. Turn off the burlar alarm. Adam, your days are numbered as long as DB’s in the studio with you. Bring back Dave. He made you good. DB makes you bad.

Danny has nothing in common with Adam. They don’t connect on any level, so the only way Danny can contribute is to blabber about his drug and alcohol follies. Hearing his schtick OVER and OVER is more grating than his voice.
Adam, you’re the best. But between the monolithic commercial blocks and this yammering douche (I’d say “washed up”, but he never went out to sea to begin with), you leave little reason to tune in. I’m returning more and more to the crew I listened to before Ace Man came to town.

Even before Dave was replaced, the ads said, “Now, more Adam per hour! less commercials!” – as if we all don’t get it that this means they aren’t selling ad time, which in turn means advertisers don’t like the show because it ain’t hitting the target audiences…or perhaps any audience of enough significance. I now can hardly listen, it’s just not funny anymore.
Why is Dave no longer on the show? He was a great part of your cast. He was a normal guy with whom everyone could relate. Getting rid of Dave and replacing him with Danny was a HORRIBLE idea. Who the hells idea was it to replace Dave Dameshek with Danny freaking Bondaduce? I don’t think I have ever felt strongly enough about a topic to post on a website but everyday DB remains on the show is one day closer to me going insane. Not insane because I can’t listen to my former favorite radio show anymore but insane because I cannot understand the asinine logic of FreeFM to think that this would work.
If the radio station liked DB so much they should give him his own show. Mixing the two is like adding Chorizo sausage to chocolate cake and thinking it was going to make the cake taste better, it just ends up ruining both.
Reading the posts on this site makes me glad I am not alone on my feelings. I challenge what ever moron who made this decision should go back and admit their mistake, fire DB and bring back Dave the same way David Stern admitted he was wrong when he made the dumb ass decision of changing the NBA basketball.

A truly terrible decision was made. I really enjoyed the show before….Danny B’s presence has “dumbed down” the show. Danny is not interesting, and such a HUGE blow hard. Oh My God Danny, we get it! I checked into the show the other day to see if they had gotten rid of DB, (disappointed that they hadn’t) and I noticed that Adam totally sounds defeated. You can tell he is trying to be a good soldier and do his job, but hates this as much as we do. His energy seemed like it was gone and you sense he sees his show being flushed down the toilet.
I’m not here to bash DB, God bless the guy, the last thing he needs is another reason to slit his wrists, but they really messed this one up.
The best part of Adam Corrolla, Jimmy Kimball and the crew is that they have always been regular guys that you could see yourself hanging out, drinking a couple beers and watching a football game with. You could tell that off the show Dave, Big Tad and Ozzie were legitimately good people who Adam considered close friends. Yes, as individuals none of them were especially talented personalities, but as a whole it worked.
Danny Bondaduce is the antithesis of what made Adam’s show great. People can relate to a guy like Adam who used to do construction, got big and brought along his friends to share his success. Who can relate with a spoiled child star that went crazy later in life and obviously has no real grasp on reality. The energy of the show has changed and I beg to the powers that be to make it right.
I don’t have anything against Danny, but I do agree that the show worked better with Dave. The show worked better with one actual host and supporting characters in Teresa and Dave. Just as Adam should be the only host, so should Danny on his own show.
You have to get rid of Danny “Show Killer” Bonaduce. He is self absorbed, and turned a good morning show that I could relate to in to the Morning Zoo. Everything he talks about revolves around himself, and during an interview with a celebrity will turn it to an interview with Danny. Nobody cares about Danny Bonaduce, at least Dave knew when to keep quiet. Danny: “This isn’t YOUR show.”
So, I’m listening to the show one morning, just like every other morning, and I hear this annoying, “rode hard, put away wet” voice ranting about something, not quite sure what… and I think hmmm who is this washed up guest? I change the station thinking that all will be back to normal tomorrow. I thought that maybe Dave was on vacation, and this was the celebrity stand-in. Come to find out, not so. I don’t understand what could have happend to make the show come to this. Adam is my favorite personality out there… what more could you want then a witty, bitching, atheist first thing in the morning ? And Dave, well Dave was the icing. Who else would cackle at a 70 year old drug addict who is knocking at deaths door, trying to help her drug addict daughter get into rehab, while worrying only about her cat? Anyway I hope that whoever made this decision will burn slowly in hell for their actions. Unless of course, Dave has moved on to greener pastures – but that’s not bloody likely!!!!

Your attempt to get more listeners made THIS loyal listener — who started listening to radio again thanks to the Adam Carolla Show after a long hiatus — go back to CDs, MP3s, and streaming music because BONADOUCHE KILLED YOUR SHOW! I listened to every show, almost every moment of them from the time I awoke until 10am — but not anymore.
Carolla, Damashek, and Strasser were the perfect balance — if you exec clowns could have gotten the rest of the staff to up the quality of their output, found more interesting guests (fewer dumb porn stars), maybe you’d have better ratings?
Bonadouche is the epitome of the blowhard. His presence has killed the humor of the show, the back-and-forth goodness. He’s not funny, and not interesting. So — bye bye — I’ve turned the radio off. Good job, Silver.
Danny B has ruined the show. I was not a big morning radio listener but I loved Corolla from love line. I started listening and was immediately hooked again and became a loyal listener as well as spread the good word about how funny (way funnier than STERN even) he and the show is. Adam is hysterical and makes me practically miturate myself every morning.
I actually liked the VH1 Bonnaduce show and had no prior problems with him – Now I can’t stand him and his overbearing voice and attitude on the show (overshadowing corolla so often) has made me stop listening. He ruins the flow of every scenario let alone every joke he or teresa say he cuts off with a boring unfunny story of his own that he somehow relates to it. Often it’s not even a joke or a story – just him saying “me too! me too! that happened to my friend also!” I can not even think of ONE time he’s made me laugh in the week I gave him a chance.
I CAN’T LISTEN ANYMORE BECAUSE DANNY PUTS ME IN AN ANGRY MOOD FOR THE DAY. ASHAME!! Since it seems I am not the only one with these feelings I just pray that others stop listening so the ratings go down and they are forced to boot him and get the show back to how it was so I can listen again.

Carolla, in keeping with the copycat formula of Howard Stern, figured he needed an Artie Lange addition to the show. Enter the prosaic and callow Bonaduce. Whether DD needed to be replaced is debatable, but what has always been painfully obvious is Bonaduce has been living off the fumes of The Partridge Family for 30+ years.
If Bonaduce put in the same effort into a legitimate acting career as he does with his manufactured gravelly voice and absurd tough image, (based on beating up the innocuous Greg Brady), he would not have to beg for attention with his pathetic “reality” show. Now Carolla has inflicted on his listeners this midget malcontent, whose only contributions to this world are endless lame, and mostly apocryphal, stories of wholesale addiction and celebrities he has met in rehab.
If people thought DD was a drag on the show, DB is the Queen Mary anchor.

listening to the show was the best part of my morning. mow i can’t wait for it to end. I tried to give danny a chance, but he is just not funny. he tries to be, but it is painful to listen to. I thought dave, teresa and adam had great chemestry and had a good thing going. BRING DAVE BACK.
I’ve been patient. I gave DB a chance, but it seems like the show is AC and DB overtalking each other with the only hopeful part that Teresa is getting more gum time.

I have to agree with most here. I used to listen to the show and the flow was great with DD, AC, and though Im not a huge TS fan, they all worked together pretty good. I liked DD but now after a few shows with DB I have gone to Joe Escalante’s show on Indie. At least there’s good music. I even like DB unlike most here, but I just dont want to hear him on the radio, and not with AC.
I think Danny Boneduce’s been a bonus to the show. I can actually listen to the Adam Corolla show in the morning. I used to be a huge Howard Stern fan for 20+ years, but wanted to give Adam a try before going to
Sirius. I was able to listen to the show for the 10 minutes I was in the car in the morning, but with the inclusion of Danny Boneduce, the show is much more funnier. I think he pairs well with Teresa and Adam. I don’t see any ego’s here.
This sick experiment needs to end!! I have tried for over a month now. The AC show is absoluetely intolerable with Danny. Some jackass had a REALLY bad idea that became a reality. Aside from his terrible voice, Danny is not the slightest bit funny, he constantly interrupts with inappropriate comments, he has no sense of comedic timing, and I am SICK of hearing about his screwed up life. Adam was the funniest and coolest guy on the radio and he got saddled with the equivalent of a male Joan Rivers. Scratch that, DB is harder to listen to than any annoying woman I can think of. Rossane Barr? Rosie O’Donnel? Whoppi Goldberg? I’d rather see them all naked in a pile than have to listen to 60 seconds of DB drone on and on. Adam is a true comedic talent, unwaveringly funny and insightful, outstanding. Danny is a narcissist who is great at interrrupting the flow of the show, revelling in drunk times gone by and detracting from the entertainment that Adam and Theresa provide.
It’s clearly a last ditch decision made by a ratings bean-counter, without much sense of entertainment or creative cohesion, the kind of person who likes dog feces on their ice cream.
It’s clearly the best last ditch decision for the show. When Danny came on the show, I couldn’t believe how much they all clicked. I think Danny brings Teresa’s comedic talent out, and she’s much funnier and livelier than before.
Hmm…The show sucks, Everyday I get in my car and try to listen, try to give it a chance and everyday I find myself turning the radio off after about 3 minutes because DB voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Ditch DB, it doesn’t work.
Danny Boneduce is much funnier than that other guy Dave. I couldn’t stand the show before. It’s definitely working now with Danny Boneduce. I was so close to getting Sirius to listen to Howard, but don’t need to now because of the changes that were made.
The Adam Carolla show was my morning coffee with Dave Damashek off in the distance laughing about something. I loved the show because of those 2. Tee I must add does her thing with the news, and a few punches here and there, but there was nothing more greater than the Jerk List, and Dave’s mom Moe calling in from time to time. Dave was a big piece of the Carolla morning show puzzle, and with this Danny Bona what’s his face, that puzzle will never be repaired. I have nothing against the guy, but he’s just not funny AT ALL. We love you Dave, and if you ever get on another program, I will be a loyal listener, just as I was with Adam’s show.
Oh yeah Bonaduce needs to just let Adam be the host, and sit off to the left, or right of him, where ever he sits in the studio, I think the show is called THE ADAM CAROLLA show budd, not Life with Bonaduce!!!!

Bonaduche is really awful. I keep thinking he will come with one intelligent or humorus line….has not happend. The guy has nothing to add of value to the show. I used to be able to tell friends about this show but no longer will i do this. You can learn a lot about someone by how they spend their time and listening to db is one thing i can not admit to or promote.
AC has got a lot to say that is humorus, usually well thought out. Pretty damm good for radio. Agreed there was some room to up grade but dropping DD totally was not the right move.
Dave D. had smarts. timing and wit. Did he always sparkle? not always but his did add value and humor to the show.
Strasser is getting better over time and is a good fit.
Poor decision.
Bottom line. Lose D. Bonaduche or lose this listener.

I disagree with most of you on here, Danny was just what the show needed!! After Howard left and Phil Hendrie retired, the trifecta was complete when Adam left ‘Loveline’. I had no faith in comedy talk radio any more. I tried to listen to Adam’s new morning show since I dug him on ‘Loveline’ but I couldn’t listen for more than 10 minutes without being bored to tears!! I found myself turning over to Mark & Brian who I can’t stand!! Don’t get me wrong, I was never a fan of D. Bonaduce and thought he was just a nutty former child star turned junkie!
I was surprised when I found out DB was joining the Corolla Show the first of this year. But, to my surprise, I found I could listen to Adam’s show for more than 10 minutes. As a matter of fact, I listen all the time now!! I found Danny to be a compliment to the show rather than a detriment!! DB brings a crazy point of view to Adam’s straight forward point of view and they always come to the same conclusions somehow. I find DB to be a total professional who knows what good radio is, he knows it’s the ‘Adam Corolla’ show and knows where he stands and who the “boss” is. Even ‘T’ is coming into her own and the chemistry keeps getting better and better!! Bits like ‘Angel Adam and Devil Danny’, Deaf Frat Guy, Adam explains to 1780’s guy, the Huell Howser rants, The Morning Zoo with Dick Gobbler, Red Bull, and T, Custom Stripper Grams, and all the sound effects have me hooked!! I hope this show will last for years to come!! I am now a fan of DB and will listen to ‘The Adam Corolla Show’ as long as it is on the air!! You all should do the same!!
I tried to give him a chance, but Bonaduce is as annoying as he is unclever. It’s a shame as Adam really is captivating and deserves a partner with actual talent. This morning was my last day listening to the show. I’ll tune in on January of next year in hopes that his contract is killed.

I doubt this will make the cut, but I think Danny is the best addition ever. He has an entire arsenal of stories, life experiences and is intelligent. Regardless of what anyone thinks of his personal life or actions, you HAVE to admit he is incredibly interesting! If you don’t, you’re full of it.

The show was better with Dave Damishek (sp?). I loved Danny on the Partridge Family and even in The Poseidon (sp?) Adventure but I cannot listen to his florid narccicism spew on the air or on that stupid tv show he had. He should go into serious acting. Adam is a brilliant comic but way too sanctimonious with a thread of nazism in his anti-poor, anti-black ranting. WOW To all you who BOO Danny, this 58 yr old from Phx has followed his career and love his sick humor! Hearing him unsensored on Howard 101, yea, I’m a big fan of him too! Danny unsensored keeps me in stitches, laughing out loud. Even give up Howard once in a while to listen to Danny and Adam.
Here’s a message to Gretchen, “The grass is NOT always greener on the other side of the fence!” To have a sensitive, romantic, spontanous and funny man all wrapped up in one is very rare. I hope you find what you are looking for, or realize before it’s too late, just what you have!
As soon as I heard that DB was added to the AC show, I stopped listening to the M and B show and became a loyal listener of AC!!! Danny is very intelligent and does a great job of giving a second opinion, (devils advocate view.) He’s a great addition and the reason I became a loyal listener, great move!!!!!

OMG. This is so painful. I feel so bad for Adam’s wife. He must be in a permanent bad mood from being forced to work with such an idiot and I am sure she is on the receiving end of his frustration. Everytime Danny talks about himself in a sexual context, which is pretty much 80% of what comes out of his mouth, I am forced to picture it and it makes me ill. Why doesn’t he shut up. Please, someone tell him to shut up. When is his contract over? Once Danny is gone, I can’t wait to hear what Adam really thinks about him. Danny, shut up. This is not your show. You are a sidekick at best, so if you have to talk at all, please keep it to a minimum. My preference would be that you said nothing.
One more thing, I have developed this ability to tune out when Danny speaks and actually listen when Adam speaks. So I listen, but to only about 40% of the show. I didn’t think it was possible to listen to radio this way, but it can be done.
I have been very entertained by the addition of Mr Bonaducci, although I have not always been a great fan of his. In this new position Danny has shown great strides in having matured beyond his own perimeters, he’s been entertaining and supportive while still retaining some of his focus on himself. The divorce has placed a lot of strain on him and his subsequent behavior is universal. Understandibly Dave did not react well to being replaced, and his animosity shows through each time you have him return to the show. Dave’s negativity towards Theresa coupled with his juvenile attempts at humor were not an asset to the show. You must know by now that Danny’s fresh outlook to being sober is a most welcome change of direction, the “staying high and funneling beer while driving” thing really isn’t humorous. So the new focus on Uber fitness and sobriety is challanging listeners to places we really need to go in America. Go on a CHP tag-a-long to have it reinforced if you need to. I listen to your show on my way home from work in the morning but can’t find you on the former site 106.9, I get you with frequency interferance on 106.5, what have you done? Surely you didn’t refer to Barbara Boxer as a nappy headed Ho? So what did you do, and where are you on the damned dial?
Love this Show ! Danny is not only “Way Out There” he makes the show interesting ………. Yup! Danny you are an entertainer!! Listening to your descriptive stories makes me Laugh as well as identify with my Boyfriend . ( “Musician , Truck Driver Proud ADHD Character”)
Who says ADHD …………… Does not have very strong positive Points! A Great theory is ADHD traits have been passed down from the Great Nomadic Hunters and Gathers . So in fact peeps with this disorder which I do not believe it is………have adapted some better than others LOL!!!

I just discovered the ACS podcast a week ago. I was so happy to be able to listen to Adam again, but was disappointed and mystified to hear Danny Bonaduce mucking up the works. I just found the show a couple months ago. I used to love Adam on Loveline so I thought I’d check out what his morning show is like. It was a shock for me to discover Danny Bonaduce to be a cohost…it just seemed all wrong. But, out of my love of Carolla I decided to give it a shot. I thought it was pretty good, enough so to continue listening daily. Danny annoyed me a lot but I was able to overlook it, I have to admit that occasionally Danny even said something funny. But after nearly a month I grew weary of his repetitious stories. I discovered that the show had once been Danny-free and decided to check out the 2006 shows. Well, unfortunately for me, it ruined me on what is now the Adam Carolla show. The 2006 shows are brilliant from start to finish. I have listened to just over 40 random shows from last year in the last three weeks. So, now I am saddened by the fact that the best morning radio I have ever heard was stripped and killed beyond repair. You should have stuck with the gang Adam and Jimmy put together. You should not have meddled with what they were doing. You’re search for instant gratification killed something great.
I will continue to listen to the 2006 shows, I’ve got just around 200 left. I cannot go back to the current shows. I’ve tried, but I just can’t stand it. Even Teressa is awful now. She was pretty witty in ‘06 but now it’s all TMZ paris hilton and brittany spears talk. It’s no surprise that your guests wont come to the studio anymore, the show is crap. Adam sounds spent. I wish the old gang could be brought back but I know that the damage has already been done, you probably couldn’t get Dave back even if you wanted to. Here’s the deal, kill the show good and properly or give it back to Adam and Jimmy to figure out. I’m off to ‘06…I’ll check back in January.

I f-ing HATE Danny. He ruins the show… his voice is annoying, what he talks about is annoying… I f-ing HATE him. No one cares what you have to say, Danny! Shut up and let Adam finish his rants. Stop interrupting with your boring insights that you think are interesting, but really, they’re just self-serving.
Who ever is helping out today in the studio is way better then Danny, I cant stand listening to him and change the station anytime he starts talking about his nasty g/f and sex life, it seriously makes me want to barf and is not good radio at all! I listen 1/4 the amount I did when he wasnt on the air and that is only because I genuinly like Teresa and Adam. Now Frosty Heidi and Frank are the only show I look forward too in the morning. If your going to keep Danny at least tell him to stop coming into the studio of Frosty Heidi and Frank during their show, no one cares to hear his stories, do it on HIS time not FHF’s!
Well. My prayers have been answered. I just heard that Danny B was fired. Too bad it took so long. I signed up for Sirius back in February when I couldn’t take DB anymore. Glad I did.
Yeah it’s true! Duce wasn’t fired, just moved to his own show in the afternoon. But it’s great news for Carolla fans – starting on Jan 2 2008, Adam and Teresa will be able to work unimpeded by his awfulness. Best Christmas present ever!
First all Frosty, Heidi, and Frank has got to be the worst radio show aired on this planet, and any other planet that gets the signal. And second The Adam Carolla Show is a funny, interesting radio program. They made a very smart choice in getting rid of that ass Bonaduce. Also that nobody Dave was no good for the show either. Teresa has a very lovable personality, even if she has the self-esteem of a pregnant 13 year old. The two of them work, it kinda of gives you the feeling they have a thing for each other. But that loud mouth Bonaduce just had to go, and the funny thing is they gave him his own show, a whole 1 hour! A whole hour to talk about nothing at all, while we get to enjoy Adam for almost 4 hours. If any body from the show reads this, you guys should have a contest in order to find the new third member, and have the audience call in and vote. Just an idea, and if used I want the credit.
I never really did warm up to Danny. His voice alone is not fit for radio. Adam and Teresa have witty, poignant and situational humor that is ideal for radio. When Danny was speaking, most of the time it always seemed to be old copy, which wandered aimlessly with no discernable end, that digressed until the Ace man or T would interject. I have to admit he was funny some of the time, and it was a little weird listening to the show knowing that he had just been fired. I believe they should keep a three person set up although, and once they find the correct guy or girl to take his place, everyone will soon forget about Danny and the show will only get better. Danny just seemed to be phony, trying too hard to impress and tell the most shocking stories, and we all know no one likes hanging around, or listening to, people who are fake. I wish the show the best, and, respectfully say farewell to Danny Bonaduce.
I’m so happy! I now know it’s going to be a great year. Thanks for getting rid of that POS Danny. I hated (still do) his voice. I start coughing just to help clear his throat. He should be a poster child for anti smoking ads. All of his interjections were stupid and any comment about his family should be deleted from all previous tapes. Why anyone on this earth with such a messed up life would think he’s so interesting is beyond me.

Yay! Danny’s gone! He just seemed like he was always trying too hard. That guy at the bar who would like dog poop to impress a girl. I download the podcasts and would literally fast forward over Danny’s ramblings (it was easy, just forwarded it until the growling noise stopped). Found myself wishing he would fall off the wagon just so he would be fired (Danny- do drugs, a lot of them and save the world from you…)
Feel like I can listen again and enjoy a quality, or at least humorous, program.

Well, guess I gave up on the show. My attention would turn away every time DB interrupted with his gravelly, blowharded, uncouthed comments… until today. It was a breath of fresh air, like hearing a favorite oldie again with DB’s voice not interrupting. The last time someone got under my skin like this it was highschool- that was 25yrs ago!
My hat is off to Adam- congratulations for surviving! It’s one thing to follow after Howard Stern… but completely another to carry the load of DB’s fake appreciative ass.
From the start, pairing Ace with DB… was like an executive with a baby rattle wanted to see what would happen from the obvious trainwreck, or establish control of a fledgling successful program. Either way, its obvious why Stern was so fed up.

You guys are mean. Danny did have a gravelly voice but he was just trying like the rest of us. I miss him on the morning show most of all I know he must be really disappointed with himself. You all better put someone elses shoes on before you go slamming other. Obviously mgmt made a wise decision if you all feel this way.. So sorry Danny, if you were a child actor from todays era your money would have been better protected and you wouldn’t have to succumb to this type of harrassment.
OH man what a relief it is. Never have I enjoyed the silence when Adam isn’t talking as much as I do now. ALL I want is to hear Adam rant. I can’t tell you how much I dislike Danny. I’ll just start mashing the keyboard into subatomic particles if I even get started. Let me just say, his new girlfriend is in for it. But I’m guessing she’s had a lot of crazy relationships, and Danny is just another psycho.

Hmmmm.. I guess of one of the only people that liked Danny. Granted he could get annoying. Adam Carolla is still the only early morning radio program I listen to either way.
