Adam with Ray Liotta, Tom Green, Mike “Quick” Swick — April 12, 2007

Call Adam Now! 866-901-ADAM

6:00AM KNOW YOURSELF

Adam says the most important thing you can do, in life, is know yourself. Know your strengths and your weaknesses. You can’t be good at everything and you need to learn what your weaknesses are so you can have people around you to make up for those weaknesses.

Adam hired an accountant and money manager to help him out with his finances, because he knows he’s no good at maintaining those types of records.

6:27AM CELEBRITIES

In honor or “Outbook August in April,” Adam wants people to call into the show with their best celebrity stories where the experience was bad.

Adam tells a story of how he asked for a Peach Snapple from an intern who claimed he was unable to find “Peach” Snapple. What does Snapple make? Iced tea. The intern went to three different liquor stores and was unable to find Peach Snapple because Adam didn’t overstate that he wasted Peach Iced Tea by Snapple – not the ever-so-common peach puree.

7:06AM JAMIE FOXX

Adam replays the Jamie Foxx interview from yesterday’s show, recapping Outbook August in April.
Jamie calls in, saying he’s a big fan of everybody on the show. The last time Adam and Jamie saw each other was way back on Loveline when Jamie was pushing his show on the semi-real network WB. Teresa was a huge Dreamgirls fan and had a question about the reported tension between Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce – but Jamie denies it.
Adam asks Jamie what he wants to do next – he’s got a live show coming to Fresno – but it seems like he’s just doing a little bit of everything and wants to continue that. Like Clooney, he’s a confirmed bachelor which is smart – because the girls he dates already know the score. Jamie’s next movie is called “Kingdom” with Jennifer Garner and Chris Cooper – which is produced by Collateral’s director Michael Mann. Jamie and Danny share some crazy stories about Colin Farrell and his extremely good looks.

7:26AM RAY LIOTTA

Adam talks to Ray Liotta from “Goodfellas,” which Adam thinks is the best gangster movie ever made and questions why “Dances With Wolves” took top honors that year.

“Slow Burn” opens on Friday. In his latest movie he plays Ford Cole, a district attorney involved in a 24-hour showdown with a gang leader (LL Cool J) and is, at the same time, being manipulated by an attractive assistant district attorney (Jolene Blalock) and a cryptic stranger.

Adam asks a quick round of random questions:

Cake or Pie? Cake.
Prince? He doesn’t think about him.
Jr. College? For it.
Flavored Tea? Regular.

Adam closes out his interview by inviting Ray to see ‘The Hammer.”

7:41AM THE NEWS

Teresa reports on all of the news headlines that matter.

8:12AM MIKE AUGUST CALLS IN

Mike August calls in to make sure he gets credit for the Ray Liotta interview. He claims that he booked that guest, and wants to be positive that he is in the lead for this week’s best guest.

Adam replays the Kobe Bryant interview from yesterday.
Kobe phones in and explains his family’s history and how they moved to Italy when he was a kid. While there, he was probably the first black person a couple of his friends had ever seen. Adam compliments Kobe’s incredible scoring skills – he’s going into his 9th season and he’s only 28.
Adam suggests that maybe they only speak Italian on the court so that nobody else knows what the play will be. Luke Walton and Britney Spears apparently have something going on, but Kobe doesn’t know anything about it. Kobe’s predictions for the east – Pistons & Heat and in the west – Lakers, Nuggets, San Antonia, Phoenix. Adam asks about perpetual Lakers fan Jack Nicholson – who turns out to be a trash talker to the other team. Adam asks about the Don Imus comment – and Kobe thinks it’s absolutely inappropriate and concerning that it happened at all.
8:32AM WHAT CAN’T ADAM COMPLAIN ABOUT?

Adam plays a spirited round of “What can’t Adam complain about?”

Topics today:

His nickname: “Ace Rockola”
(He got the nickname for the same reason that a fat guy is called “Stretch.”)

“The Hammer” debut
(The movie’s not good enough for people like Matt Dillon and Howard Stern who will be at the first screening.)

Krispy Kreme doughnuts
(Everything that tastes good is bad for you.)

Having the First Cup of Coffee in the Morning
(News says that coffee will kill you. Other people say it will extend your life ten years.
He doesn’t know who to believe.)

Dr. Drew
(Adam’s never met a guy more p-whipped by his wife. And he has no hair on his naturally muscular body.)

8:53AM TOM GREEN AND DEAF FRAT GUY

Tom Green and Deaf Frat Guy are in studio. DFG is giddy sitting next to his hero.

Adam talks to Tom about how he got his start on MTV by hosting a show in Canada. “Tom Green Live” is on the Internet at tomgreen.com.

Adam wants to know how you make money off of an Internet show. Right now, Tom says he isn’t making money on it. He’s doing it for the fans right out of his house. They built a studio with eight cameras and a switcher.

9:04AM MORE WITH TOM GREEN

Tom discusses all of the difficult events he’s had in his life, including his bout with cancer and his marriage with Drew Barrymore. Tom explains to Adam and the gang that, when you have a cancerous testicle removed, that the doctors do not remove it through the scrotum. They go through the stomach and shuck it out like an oyster.

Tom says that Drew Barrymore didn’t leave him. They both kind of went in opposite directions at the same time. He says that he hasn’t actually spoken or seen her since the divorce. There wasn’t an incident and they weren’t getting along like they used to.

Deaf Frat Guy brought in Mike “Quick” Swick, who lost last week in the UFC.

9:24AM DEAF FRAT GUY AND MIKE “QUICK” SWICK

Deaf frat Guy stopped by to defend Mike “Quick” Swick’s surprising defeat in the UFC last weekend. DFG says he blames himself as a manager for his loss.

Mike says he was simply overpowered in the fight. He couldn’t do anything.
