Adam was on The Soup last night with his buddy Joel McHale. Adam says it “was fun, easy and there was good energy” on the set. Cutie Jules Asner was there as well, her husband Steven Soderbergh wrote Oceans 13, one of Adam’s least favorite movies of all times. Adam says Ocean’s 13 “looked slick” however the “script was weak,” Adam asks “whose fault is it when you have a script that is based on a false premise?” Bald Brian says “even good directors can make bad movies.” Watch the trailer here.
Mark calls in to agree with Adam saying “Ocean’s 13 sucked so bad!” Adam says it is so much more fun to pick apart a bad movie as opposed to picking apart a good movie.

John calls in to disagree with Adam on rent control. Adam owns a couple apartment buildings and he doesn’t like the idea “of the man” telling him how much he can and cannot rent his apartments out for!! They are his damn apartments!!

7:43 AM – GEORGE TEKAI IS IN THE STUDIO
George Tekai is in the studio to celebrate his upcoming marriage to his partner of over 21 years. At long last his dreams have come true! George is thrilled to finally marry his lover and says getting married is “delicious”!! Adam asks George what will change now the he’s tying the knot, besides less sex of course? George just laughs, he has the best laugh ever which is also absolutely contagious and has the whole studio in stitches!
Adam asks is Shatner invited to the wedding? Uhh…NO!! There is “no love lost between these two warriors.”
George talks about his journey from Japan to America. George actually lived in a Japanese-American Internment Camp.
8:03 AM- GEORGE TAKEI CONTINUES TO HANG OUT; STEVE CARRELL PHONES INTO THE STUDIO
Adam is “fascinated with George’s journey.” George continues to talk about his life in the internment camps. There were 120 thousand Japanese Americans in the camps, whoa!! George says he was “taken to the slums of Arkansas” and lived there for two years before being transfered to another camp on the Oregon border, which George says was the worst of all!! Can you believe he was surrounded with barb wire fences and armed guards 24 hours a day?!! It was absolutely horrible! Adam asks did he have a savior in the camp, his own Schindler? He actually did! The Vroman family would bring them books and actually risked their lives doing so. Support Vroman’s Bookstore located in Pasadena people!!
Steve Carrell phones into the studio. Steve stars in the new movie, Get Smart opening in theaters tomorrow!! Adam loved the original Get Smart and cannot wait to see this movie! Adam tells Steve everyone goes nuts for him, the fans love him! Steve says after 40 Year Old Virgin his career totally exploded.
Adam tells Steve that him and Jimmy Kimmel actually pitched a movie to Ivan Reitman about and a 30 year old virgin years back and it was totally rejected!!

Teresa is getting married next week and as we all know she supports the purchasing of cultured diamonds as opposed to blood diamonds. Comedian Dom Irrera is in the studio. Dom does not laugh as he talks about his family, he doesn’t speak to his father because when his sister had cancer his father told her she should “just get over it!” Funny stuff!
Adam asks Dom hypothetical question’s and Dom has to choose between hanging out with the following:
* A born again gang banger VS the Disney obsessed loser who wears stone washed denim with mickey mouse patches. Dom chooses the Disney loser!
* The person who says that never watches television VS the parent that gives their kid a mullet. Dom chooses the guy who never watches TV.
Dom will be performing at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach June 26 – 28.
